MEETINGS
Tuesday, September 25: Jay Danner
President of the Southport High School Alumni Association, will
be the guest speaker. Jay will tell about the Alumni
Association and its scholarship program. This program may be the
largest of its type anywhere. Remember the Danner's Five and Ten
Cent Stores? They belonged to Jay's family, and he will share
the history of them as well. He may bring some old photos of the
stores too.
Tuesday November 27: Jack Christy of
Christy's Auctions will be the guest speaker. Jack will share
the story of his family's auction business in Southport. He will
also give some hints for those considering downsizing, moving,
or disposing of some possessions. (This is the Tuesday following
Thanksgiving!).
